Human Society and its Environment
The HSIE faculty develops students’ understanding of the world, past and present. History and Geography are mandatory subjects from Years 7-10, providing all students with strong foundations in historical thinking, geographical skills, critical analysis, and global citizenship.
Beyond the mandatory curriculum, HSIE offers a wide range of elective courses in Stage 5 and an extensive selection of HSC courses in Stage 6, allowing students to pursue their interests and pathways in depth. Through inquiry-based learning, real-world case studies, and skill development, HSIE equips students with the knowledge and capabilities needed for active, informed participation in society.
