What is Peer Mediation?
In mediation people who are in conflict agree to seek the help of a neutral third party. The mediators help these people reach an agreement. This is run by the students for the students of The Jannali High School.
Who are the Mediators?
The mediators are students from Years 10, 11 or 12 (boys and girls) who have been trained to help others resolve their conflicts using mediation.
They are volunteers who are mature people and can be trusted to keep any discussions during mediation private.
Who can use the mediation service?
Anyone who is a student at The Jannali High School who is willing to resolve a conflict peacefully.
Mediation will only work if you are willing to work out your conflict peacefully, by talking it through and making some agreements.
