TJHS Community

At our school, we believe that education is a collaborative journey, and strong partnerships with our families and the wider community are at the heart of our success. We warmly welcome parents, carers, and community members to become actively involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). This dedicated group plays a vital role in shaping our school environment, sponsoring events, and supporting initiatives that enrich the learning experience for all students.

Beyond the school gates, we are proud to work closely with our partner primary schools, creating a seamless and supportive transition for students as they progress through their education. These partnerships foster shared learning opportunities, joint events, and a strong sense of community across all stages of schooling.

Our connection with local businesses and organisations further strengthens our community ties. Through collaborations with local employers, service providers, and community groups, we offer students unique opportunities for real-world learning experiences such as workplace learning experiences, mentorship programs, and community projects. These partnerships not only enhance student engagement but also cultivate a spirit of cooperation and mutual support within our local area.

Your involvement—whether through volunteering, attending events, or sharing your expertise—makes a meaningful difference. Together, as a united community, we create a welcoming and inspiring environment where every student can thrive. Join us in building a school that reflects the strength and spirit of our families and community.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

At The Jannali High School, we are proud to have a passionate and dedicated Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) that plays a vital role in shaping our school community. Our P&C meets once each term where parents, carers and our Principal come together to discuss educational programs, share ideas, and explore exciting new initiatives to enhance student learning and wellbeing.

Parents and carers are notified of meetings through multiple channels including email, SMS, our school newsletter, school calendar and the electronic school sign. We want to make sure that everyone has the chance to participate and contribute.

Understanding the busy lives of our families, The Jannali High School has embraced innovation by launching the "eP&C"—an Electronic Parents and Citizens Committee. This secure, online platform operates via a closed Facebook group, carefully managed by our P&C executive. The eP&C allows parents and carers who have contributed to the school’s P&C fund to join in meaningful conversations and decision-making if they cannot attend a scheduled meeting.

We invite all families to join us in this innovative community effort—helping Jannali High School continue to be a place where students thrive, supported by a strong and connected school community.

Primary Enrichment Program

The Jannali High School Enrichment program caters for high potential  and talented students from our partner primary  schools.  This program also offers the opportunity for primary students to link with other people from our local community of primary schools.

The philosophy behind the courses offered is to provide enrichment activities with a focus  on the use of higher order thinking skills and problem-solving based learning. Activities will complement the Stage 3 curriculum with the aim of extending and deepening students' knowledge and understanding. There will be no overlap with the standard Stage 3 and Stage 4 curriculum.

In 2024 the Enrichment Programs offers 4 or 5 week courses which extend and deepen students' knowledge and understanding of the topic offered in each course. There are two courses on offer per term with a total of 7 courses during 2024.  The attached Enrichment Overview covers the variety of disciplines and topics that will be treated during this program.

All documents required to be submitted for application into this program are below.

This program is a collaborative local public schools initiative.
