On the 1st of December between 10:00am and 1:30pm, TJHS will host a transition to high school day for your child. During this day they will:
- be given a tour of the school by Peer Support Leaders
- attend three 'taster' high school classes
- receive information on what to expect in Year 7 and on the first day
- receive chips and a popper for recess. Students are permitted to bring alternative or additional food.
Please arrange for your child to be dropped to the school gate at 10:00am and collected from the school gate at 1:30pm. Unfortunately, parents will not be allowed on school grounds.
Finally, in lieu of the parent information session, there will be a video posted on the TJHS website and Facebook page on the afternoon of December 1st. This video will contain information that will help prepare your child for their first day and continued success throughout their time here at TJHS. We encourage you to watch this with your child as a prompt to discuss their experience at TJHS during the day and what they need to do in preparation to start Year 7 in 2021.
