Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome from our principal

Welcome to The Jannali High School, a vibrant and inclusive, comprehensive coeducational high school nestled in the heart of the Sutherland Shire. Here, our passionate and experienced staff are committed to delivering a high-quality education tailored to students of every ability, helping, each individual unlock their full potential.

At The Jannali High, excellence is more than just a goal—it’s a proud tradition. Our students consistently achieve outstanding results in the HSC, with many going on to thrive at university or pursue further tertiary studies. But success here isn’t just academic. Our students shine on the sports field, captivate audiences through debating, musical, dramatic and dance performances. Not to mention, they engage audiences through visual, textile and industrial arts.

Our graduates leave The Jannali High as confident, caring, and mature young adults, equipped with a strong sense of community, citizenship, and social responsibility. They embrace diversity with respect and understanding, prepared to contribute positively to an ever-changing world.

We foster a supportive and high expectations-focused environment where students connect and collaborate to achieve their personal best. Safety, support, and encouragement are at the core of our school culture, helping students build self-discipline, motivation, teamwork, and confidence. Our clear expectations on attendance, uniform and behaviour reflect our high expectations and dedication to student success.

At the heart of The Jannali High lie our CARE Values and Expectations that underpin everything we do to enable all our students to connect, thrive and achieve:

Cooperate - work respectfully and collaboratively with others.

Achieve - take responsibility for your learning and progress.

Respect - treat everyone with kindness and consideration.

Engage - participate actively in all learning and school activities.

We’re proud of our strong connections with TAFE, university campuses and the local business community to support student pathways. As a key member of the Heart of the Shire Community of Schools (HOTSCOS), we work closely with our partner primary schools to provide the very best educational opportunities for all our students in support of their transition to high school.

Join us at The Jannali High School—where every student’s journey is valued, and every achievement celebrated.
